Start with the Life Palace and connect the whole chart
You do not need to memorize every star before reading a Zi Wei chart. Check the input, locate the Life and Body palaces, connect the related palaces, then add transformations and timing. The same star in a different palace should not become the same personality sentence.
Create a Zi Wei chart you can checkPrepare the Gregorian birth date, time, gender, and birthplace. Check the rules near an hour or calendar boundary. Longitude correction does not replace historical time-zone conversion.Open the Zi Wei calculator →Locate the field, connect the palaces, then add time
Each step points to a chart field. Resolve input differences before interpreting it.
- 01
Locate the Life Palace, Body Palace, and main stars
Start with the Life Palace marker and find where the Body Palace sits. Distinguish main stars from auxiliary stars. A palace without a main star still has an opposite palace and other chart information to check.
- 02
Connect the palaces and four transformations
Use the palace you are reading as the reference, then identify its linked and opposite palaces. Check which star carries Lu, Quan, Ke, or Ji and where it sits. Keep the transformation layer explicit.
- 03
Separate the natal chart from timing layers
Decade cycles provide a longer background; annual references are a different time layer. Identify the layer before comparing palace changes rather than replacing the natal structure with one year label.
Locate the twelve palaces before choosing a question
The Life, Spouse, Wealth, and Career palaces address different questions in one chart. When reading the Spouse Palace, note its stars and transformations, then locate its linked and opposite palaces. For the Career Palace, use Career as the new reference rather than reusing the Spouse Palace positions.
This is a chart-reading exercise, not a customer history or a relationship or career prediction.Check the twelve-palace fieldsCheck structure, transformations, and timing separately
The English path uses complete English guides only. Start with the field you need: palace layout, transformations, decade cycles, or the difference between Zi Wei and BaZi.
Check the input, locate the Life and Body Palaces, then read principal stars, auxiliary stars and natal transformations in their actual palaces. For the Life Palace, compare Wealth, Career and Travel as its three-direction and opposite-palace group. An empty Life Palace has no fourteen principal stars; it is not a blank chart or proof of bad fortune.
